With the world haywire and injustices plaguing our society, the responsibility of saving - or rather changing - our world falls upon the shoulders of the youth – of Generation Z. While our people have been looked down upon as seemingly uncaring or oddly connected to our devices, it is the very same people that will go down in history for being notoriously rebellious and changing the ways of the planet to better accommodate everyone. With a little work, of course.
The Juvenescence is a Dubai-based youth organization that aims to make this work a bit easier; it aims to educate the generation, take responsible steps towards eradicating the intolerances and inequalities of the modern-day society, and create a safe space for all.
It is an organization run by the indoor generation.
Let’s get to work, shall we?
The Juvenescence’s logo is a modern and unique take on the philosophy of Yin and Yang; the ancient Chinese concept of dualism relating to how opposite or contrary forces can be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how these forces may give rise to one another.
Since we live in a world of dualities and polarities – good and bad, masculine and feminine, pure and evil – it would be unrealistic to hope or believe that we could eradicate either one and embrace the other. However, while we may not be able to cater to everyone’s needs or end all injustices, we hope to try. We hope to bring balance and peace to the opposing forces in our societies. We hope to mitigate the effects of widening differences between these forces. We hope to collectively work towards narrowing the gap between the same.
The Koi fishes serve to bring a Japanese symbolism into play; they represent perseverance, abundance, and courage. As for the colors, the red stands for the organization’s drive and passion towards its cause. The navy blue represents the trust, wisdom, intelligence, loyalty, and confidence we hope to tread with. The black signifies the powers, authorities, and leaders we aspire to support, question, criticize and work with. Lastly, the white signifies the peace and safety we ultimately hope to bring to our world.
