Sign the Amazon Watch petition to tell BlackRock to stop financing the destruction of the Amazon. BlackRock is one of the world’s most prominent investors in oil and gas worldwide, consequently contributing to climate change nearly more than any other company. It also greatly contributes significantly to the destruction of the Amazon by investing in oil, mining and agribusiness companies operating there and benefiting the most from these fires.

MONTHLY EVENT OF NOVEMBER

The power of self-determination, the state of free will, the exemption from arbitrary or despotic control, a life without constraints: {free} {dom}. In honor of the World Freedom Day celebrated on November 9th, The Juvenescence dedicated the month of November to Freedom; the freedom of choice, freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of belief.

The notion of freedom can be driven all the way back to Ancient Mesopotamia, where small societies lived in debt to the king; thankful for the freedom provided to them. It went on to the Holy Roman Empire to Genghis Khan’s eastern world to freedom from colonization in India, Vietnam, Fiji, Namibia, Zambia or even the Americas. The point remains that freedom is an essential part of our lives - one that a lot of people cannot enjoy in today’s world.

The Juvenescence also collaborated with The Youth Prelude - a writing platform shaped to recognize and publish the talented wield of a pen. Additionally, the team also interviewed many students and teachers at Delhi Private School Dubai and asked them about their views on the notion of freedom.

Let's walk through a prominent issue that took place over the duration of merely five weeks. An issue that that had over a million lives dependent over it. An issue that affected the state of a country that houses over a billion people. The floods in Kerala had been affected by one of nature's greatest furies that the world had seen in decades. Being one of the most literate states in India and having close to the highest population densities in the subcontinent, a disaster like this had undoubtedly disarmed the country.

During the month of August, however, The Juvenescence organized a Do For Kerala event. Along with the help of some of the most amazing volunteers, our organization managed to collect a total of 140 Kilograms of relief materials that included everything from bed-sheets and blankets to sleeping mats to pulses to masala powders to flour and biscuits to antiseptic lotions to toothbrushes and toothpastes to t-shirts and shirts and dhotis. These materials were packed into cartons and sent to rescue camps and relief organizations in Kerala with the help of the Dar Al Ber Society in Dubai.

Want to know how far the impact of this event went? Well, the relief materials collected by The Juvenescence reached one of the many rescue camps set up by Oxfam India in Kerala.
